I used ChatGPT to create the script for the AI audio application and I asked the following questions:
Will AI replicate the true essence of a person better than a photograph?
I used ElevenLabs to replicate my speech. First I recorded around one minute of my voice and uploaded it to the platform. I uploaded the ChatGPT text and within minutes it accurately copied my voice.
With the digital human creator D-ID, I uploaded a video still from an interview I recorded a few weeks ago which is of higher image quality, and for balance uploaded a photo from my cell phone. I then uploaded the ElevenLabs audio file of me reciting the ChatGPT script.
ElevenLabs is still in beta and it produced an exceptional clone of my voice, and that’s incredible but now anyone can copy my voice and do something criminal with it. Good luck with that!
D-ID was a little off in replicating my mouth when I speak but it did do a great job with eye blinking and head movement.
Both platforms were incredibly easy to use for businesses needing cheap videos for websites and social media.

Toni’s ashes came home on my dad’s birthday. He would have been 98 on April 16, 2019. Noni died last August and it’s taken this time to pick up the ashes but apparently that was nothing compared to some ashes being left for ten plus years, according to the undertaker. Noni will stay in her bedroom until we spread her ashes on the roses were dad rests.
“I remember when mum’s wedding ring fell off her finger. Or rather, I found it on the bathroom floor by the toilet. She didn’t even know it had gone and this had been on her finger since she got married in 1954. It was yet another symbolic event of her life with dementia. The symbol of her as a wife who married to have children and she was wife and mother and that ring represented that, that was her identity and it had fallen, forgotten on the bathroom floor by the toilet.
Mum is in wandering mode and won’t stop getting up. Tried to give her fish fingers and she got up six times and I had to bring her back to her chair again. She will go to bed in a moment. It’s just after six. Trying to make her eat. I am looking at my camera kit bag to see what’s in it and go through it. Ken Dodd died today.
Testing out the Lavalier microphone and it’s great. I used it on my cell phone and then on my Canon 5D MK11 and the latter especially was crisp and clear. “
